Home 20-29 021 - The Color Wheel
|
The color wheel we use in this course is not like your standard-use wheel. The twelve base hues (colors) are those you probably grew up with. The base hues I use here are: red, red-orange, orange, yellow-orange, yellow, yellow-green, green, blue-green, blue, blue-violet, violet, and red-violet. Each of the hues are shown in 12 variations, including the pure hues. They are (from inside radiating out): Vivid (center): Bold, clear color. Full of life, attracts attention, sharp and lively. Pure color. Strong (first ring): Slightly duller than vivid tones. Sturdy and substantial. Conveys a practical feeling.
